Q.  What is it like to walk in Retrofitzed shoes?
A.  Like walking in SPD compatible bike shoes only better looking.

Q.  What cleats will I be able to attach to Retrofitzed shoes?

Q.  Will a Retrofitzed shoe replace my SPD commuter/touring shoe?
A.  Yes.  Miles of commuting and touring pleasure.

Q.  Will a Retrofitzed shoe replace my Sidi, Shimano, etc brand high performance road or mountain shoes?
A.  No.  Those shoes are made of  a single ingredient = performance. 
A Retrofitzed shoe is made of three ingredients = your shoe choice + riding performance + walking comfort.

Q.  Do you provide the 4-hole threaded cleat plates and can I adjust my cleat location?
A.  Yes, the 4-hole plates made by Shimano are  included with Retrofitzed shoes, and allow for plenty of adjustment.  The plates are NOT included with the DIY kit.

Q.  Will you Retrofitz my used shoes?
A.  Yes.

Q.  What makes a shoe Retrofitz-able?
A.  In general, if we can get the comfort liner out of a shoe, we can Retrofitz the shoe. The sole must be no greater than 12mm thick in the cleat attach region.

Q.  How much weight does Retrofitzing add to a pair of  shoes?
A.  about 80 grams

Q.  Will I feel the Retrofitz plate under my foot?
A.   Yes, it increases the stiffness of the sole, it is fixed to the sole and is covered by the original shoe liner.

Q.  What is the Retrofitz plate made of? 
A.  Injection molded, impact modified Nylon.  Same material used to make non-carbon cycling shoe soles. 

Q.  How is the Retrofitz plate fixed to the shoe?
A.  Stainless steel threaded fasteners.  These are recessed in the sole so they will not contact the ground. 

Q.  What are the Retrofitz bumpers made of?
A.  Same tough and non-marking TPU that shoe soles are made of.
